Is your group the annoying twosome? Or the group you get paired up with? Be open to the fact that there is always more than one viewpoint to a situation.

That being said, I think there are a few issues here.

First, you may want to spend more time on the practice range prior to going on the golf course. Improving your skills may help to bring down that 120+ round to something you feel better about. I, however, haved played with many golfers with limited golfing skills and had a wonderful time with them. Your skill level should not influence you fun level.

Next, your time on the golf course is, just that, your time! Never allow others to negatively influence your time. Let them play ahead, and then get back to enjoying the day. If that option is not possible, consider trying to set up a foursome when you play, that way you are familiar with all the people in your group.

Lastly, keep your sense of humor! You are right, we all start our golf journey in the same place…the beginning, and it is true that many golfers forget this fact. Your ability to laugh along the way will make the path to being an accomplished player far more enjoyable.
